Learn Tahitian Cooking in Moorea-Maiao, French Polynesia - Hands-On Moorea Cooking Class

Summary: What a gem of an experience! This was an intimate experience where we learned how to make a Tahitian dish (poisson cru) with guidance from Havaiki. Very hands on, ingredients were fresh and the results were delicious. While we scuba dived, snorkelled and enjoyed other excursions here in Mo’orea, this one tops it all because of how unique, warm and engaging it was. This experience really adds character and color to our travel and it’ll be the one we remember for a long time. Highly recommend anyone to sign up for this. You will not be disappointed.

Summary: I had a truly wonderful time at this cooking class in Mo'orea. Possibly the highlight of my entire trip, even more than swimming with stingrays, spotting an octopus in the wild, or watching the sunset from a mountain. Audrey, Anata, and Stevenson are a heartwarming and welcoming family. The class wasn’t just about food, it was about connection to culture and each other. Their passion for sustainable farming and commitment to providing affordable organic produce to their community was inspiring. If you're looking for something authentic and deeply memorable, this cooking class is a must. I left feeling nourished in every sense of the word.

Summary: ia Orana! Definitely a highlight of our Moorea trip! Havaiki was such a gracious host, she created a beautiful Tahitian menu for us to make in her beautifully decorated bungalow…I thought I was in a Martha Stewart magazine! The lunch we made used the freshest ingredients, taught me new ways to prepare pineapple and introduced me to Tahitian food and culture. I would highly recommend AtunuMai Moorea culinary class, it was the best way to immerse ourselves in Moorea.

Summary: Havaiki was absolutely wonderful. The menu she prepared was perfectly Tahitian. We learned to make our own coconut milk, poisson cru, and more. Her cooking studio was so clean and inviting and beautifully decorated. She was the perfect host. This class was my favorite activity on the island, I can't wait to get back to California and make my own coconut milk with my new kitchen tool! Thank you, Havaiki!

Summary: We had such a fabulous time with Havaiki at her lovely home. The space was stylish, bright and airy – I was amazed at how lovely of an environment she had curated. Her cooking class was an incredible cultural experience, learning about Tahitian cuisine and authentic methods of preparation for each dish. The experience was great for my whole family – comprised of adults and seniors. And the food! The food we made was incredible. I can't wait to try to recreate the dishes at home. Havaiki was easy to understand and fluent in English; she tailored her instructions to our varied level of experience in the group. Absolutely would recommend booking this class for the authenticity, the food, and for a lovely experience you won't soon forget.

Summary: It may not be the reason we visited beautiful Mo’Orea, but it just may be the reason we return. We were welcomed so warmly into Havaiki’s lovely gardens and home, and right away we knew we were going to be treated to an amazing experience. Havaiki is happy to share her home and her knowledge of Polynesian cuisine with her guests. We had so much fun and made memories that we will cherish forever. From start to finish, the day could not have been more perfect!

Summary: An incredibly delightful, stylish, professional class filled with culinary information, activities and insights to local produce and cuisine. We shared this class with 6 family members as part of my big "0" birthday celebrations, as I wanted something totally local, experiential but also a lovely lunch together in fabulous location. This class did all of that. Havaaki's has created a stylish, functional and beautiful space and place to enjoy with these classes. Totally recommend to anyone wanting a class where local produce is featured, explained and cooked as well as a host who is intuitive, kind and engaging. The best value for our experience. We sat down to our delicious lunch we had all prepared in a gorgeous setting. thank you and we will return one day!!

Summary: We went for my mum’s 60th birthday celebration with a big family group and had SUCH an amazing time. We were excited having seen the photos but the experience was even better than we had imagined. Havaiki was so knowledgeable and kind, answering all our questions about Moorea and Tahitian culinary culture. 10/10 would recommend!
